I have been a Christian since I was 6 but there were many years I did not walk as I should have. God is merciful and I am now back on the right path. But when I was backslidden I got involved in the Portland blues scene and played in several bands including fronting a band of my own, I will not play those songs anymore but I love the blues music itself and have written many of my own songs to glorify Jesus in this venue. My question is this, I am 52 years old and wondering if there are any other blues musicians in the area that maybe would like to get together to see what God can do with us? I sing and play lead & rhythm guitar. Any takers?

Do you have any recordings floating around out there? I'd like to hear some. I'm a blues/rock piano player myself and I play with a great drummer. However, I have small children and so does my drummer friend, so scheduling it somewhat difficult.

So what area do you live in?

I love the blues and they influence everything I play. I have a cd with all songs streaming at www.bobhendrenmusic.com. It wasn't originally intended to be a commercial release, it's home recorded, but I ended up doing an indie release. There are several styles, none pure blues, but all tracks except #2 & 10 have a lot of blues influence. Take a listen and let me know if you'd like to get together.
